Being a passionate gift giver, the holidays prove to be both exciting and a careful maneuver of budget-conscious presents every year for me. I always want to bless my family and friends with tokens that demonstrate how much they mean to me, but I’m also not a millionaire. This year, I’ve decided that small, homemade sweet treats like toffee and holiday bark are going to be my avenue for adding to somewhat small gifts that make it possible for me to buy for 19 (NINETEEN) people in my family. I am shocked at how easy holiday bark is to make, and plan on making a list right now for ingredients to get creating. Here are some of my favorite holiday bark recipes that will make the perfect gift.

1. Loaded Christmas Bark
Ho Ho Ho! This loaded Christmas bark has it all! Pretzels, peanuts, chocolate, M&M’s and sprinkles. There’s a little something for everyone in this sweet treat, and is the perfect addition for that tumbler mug you’re giving this year. The best part about this bark is you can easily swap out the candy and sprinkles for whatever season you’re making this for, proving that chocolate bark is best enjoyed year round.

2. Peppermint Bark
Is it really the holidays without peppermint? I think not! Layers of white chocolate, dark chocolate, and then white chocolate again that’s topped with candy canes make this dessert the perfect amount of pepperminty, without overdoing it. I think this recipe is pretty much a must this holiday!

3. Mint Oreo Chocolate Bark
Fresh minty flavor, coupled with the oh so festive green color, this Mint Oreo Chocolate bark is sure to be a hit. It’s that perfect mixture of crunchy any chewy and we’re pretty happy about it. It only takes three ingredients and that patience for this to set and cool before you’re doling this out to family and friends.

7. Peppermint Reindeer Bark
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer never looked so delicious! While the majority of these bark is actually more chocolatey (you only use 1 candy cane for the top layer), your kids will love helping you lay out all the reindeers using candy eyes, broken pretzels and candy eyes. This is so adorable and would be a great neighborhood or teacher gift!

8. Healthy Holiday Bark
Consuming tons of sugar around the holidays feels good at first, but it quickly catches up with you and that’s why I had to include at least 1 “healthy” bark recipe in this list. The base starts out with dark chocolate and coconut milk and oil. It’s then drizzled with a homemade matcha topping, then pumpkin seeds and unsweetened coconut oil. This recipe is also paleo and vegan!
